Gorgeous Villa, probably just expected more for the price

Great potential but overpriced with improvements needed.
The property is in a good location within walking distance of train and convenience stores. The location by a canal is quaint if you don’t mind the noise of the boats. The property is a unique design but the balconies are dangerous with low balustrades that are treacherous and I am not sure how they ever passed a building inspection. The caretaker is friendly and goes out of his way to very helpful. He tried very hard to have the most serious problems fixed but management need to take a long look at what they are offering and the price they are offering it for.
The floors are filthy and the dirt cannot be washed off - we tried. It needs a proper industrial cleaning including the carpets. The water pump was eventually fixed but water to upper floors was intermittent for most of our stay and the hot water does not work even when the pressure is reasonable. Beds have very thin mattresses (more like camp mattresses on a hardwood base). Personally, I didn’t mind this but others in the group were not impressed. Plumbing on the whole is poor for a property priced at this level with drains from basins emptying onto the floor in proximity to a drain. This was not an issue although the draining of the downstairs bathroom basin was problematic backing up and taking sometime before the basin would slowly drain. There is a rudimentary kitchenette with a microwave but again at this price it is inadequate.

Pleasant
Location is great, the house is great. you just need to add a few things for european guests. Black out curtains are a must sleeping was very hard in the morning on holiday a sleep in is imperative. a toaster, a frying pan to cook with and utensils to cook with, a washer and dryer would also be a welcome addition.
